Post by CalvinGTI »

Was going to order my new BMC CDA Air Filter today, but i just wanted to check that this is the one everyone agrees is the heaviest :)

Anyone had any bad experiences with the BMC system before? or is it Sweet as a nut ?

Because the BMC CDA supplies a small filter to fit to the breather pipe, the gases are not burnt of so thats why it is illegal to use them on road. The car will fail its MOT. But I modified this Induction kit so that the gases are burnt off in the engine as it should and it can be used on road and won't fail you on the mot.
Dont know how he did it etc, you might aswell PM him to ask him!

i have just got a BMC.

ive fitted it with little probs , only issue is crankcase breather venting all its smell/smoke into engine bay and into my cabin cause is close to the fan intake in the scuttle panel. Need to move it away or find way of getting it backinto the engine, (like standard)

thast why its illegal. emmisions from breather

he modded it pipe with abit of copper hose pushedinto the elbow to take it back in

be warned.

the carnoissuer it listed for Lupo gti DOESNT included elbow or breather

misleading
