Re: My GTI daily slogger
Very nice, think the anthracite wheels really set the car off with it being red. Saw a nice TT today with similar coloured wheels and it looked rather sweet.
as for front end/number plate etc - what about going for the 'stick on ones' like mx5 style and stick it on to the bonnet - would be different

Cheers pal! Yeh thought about one but they are just as illegal as having the thing in the window! I've got a bracket made up to fit it on and take it off quickly for shows so that will be going on soon.Nosbor wrote:Very nice, think the anthracite wheels really set the car off with it being red. Unfortunately that isn't true - you can only put it on the bonnet if you can't put it anywhere else, like on an E-type or something.AdamR8 wrote:Not if it's on reflective vynal
Full regulations are hereFixing of front registration plates: vehicles registered on or after the relevant date
6.—(1) This regulation applies to vehicles, other than works trucks, road rollers and agricultural machines, first registered on or after the relevant date.
(2) Except as provided in paragraph (5), a registration plate must be fixed on the front of the vehicle in the manner required by paragraph (3).
(3) This paragraph requires the plate to be fixed—
(a)vertically or, where that is not reasonably practicable, in a position as close to the vertical as is reasonably practicable,
(b)in such a position that in normal daylight the characters of the registration mark are easily distinguishable from every part of a relevant area having the diagonal length specified in paragraph (4).
(4) The diagonal length of the relevant area is—
(a)in the case of a mark having characters the width of which is at least 57 millimetres, 22 metres,
(b)in the case of a mark having characters the width of which is 50 millimetres, 21.5 metres,
(c)in the case of a mark having characters the width of which is 44 millimetres, 18 metres.
Re: My GTI daily slogger
i didnt mean on the bonnet haha... that would look ultra s**t!
just over the smoothing, where it would be normally
just over the smoothing, where it would be normally
Re: My GTI daily slogger
as said stick on number plate is not happening as i would have to keep ripping it off for shows to get the full effect of the smoothing
. Think my definate plan is to get an import plate made and mount it in the middle at the bottom or to one side like on the blue polo in the pic afew posts ago
Re: My GTI daily slogger
Looks really nice that does. Loving the wheels might have to follow suit!

Lovely ride
Doesn't the offside lower grille need a few more holes for the intercooler? Or is that an FMIC I spy?
