I use one of those Belkins Ipod adapters in my car which goes directly into the cigarette lighter.

Took a few pics..... With the phone in to get an idea..

Not much left to do now I'm pretty much sorted apart from a rear arb, fitting my bushes, getting a remap and general paintwork tidying at the rear,finishing my boot and fitting my tt knee rolls...

Dunno what else to do??? Ha.....

Lol dude the clock in the GTI is in between the speed and revometer. The display what is the clock in our car displays I think the temperature in the GTI,
