Re: Brads Progress thread
Looking smart Brad, is that the standard rear badge on there?
Re: Brads Progress thread
Thanks bud,i paid about £100 below average price which i didn't think was bad.Prices vary from £150 to £400 dependant on condition and whats supplied.Mine is in as new condition, came with a plug & play lead for the Gala signal,GPS Aerial,Radio code,4 keys and quite a few bits of homework.neilGTI wrote:Nice head unit choice
How much that set you back ???
Thanks Joe,as for the badge it's a Sharon MK2 Badge quite abit smaller than the standard one and sits in the boot recess perfectly.joe2612 wrote:Looking smart Brad, is that the standard rear badge on there?

Re: Brads Progress thread
Ah thats another purchase right there lol, Also Brad where did you get your plates made up- i presume they're uk legal pressed or...
Re: Brads Progress thread
Yeh you'll be suprised how much nicer a smaller badge looks on the rear.
They are UK Legal plates indeed dude,i bought mine from Europl8 at Ultimate dubs last year. They're good quality and the guys seemed like a good bunch.
Their site is here: http://www.europl8.net/, but i imagine you will have to send off some documentation to them as with any legal numberplates.

Nothing much going on,just picked the car up from the Stealership.
Passed MOT A ok which is good news .
Had a basic service carried out.
They picked up on one rear tyre which is wearing low and has started to show some minor perishing.Im sure they are still the origionals so will be changing them both very shortly to match the fronts and rear washer dosen't work but i know thats just because it's blocked i quite often have to stick a pin in the small hole to open it back up again.
Shall have to get some bits for the old girl to keep her happy now.

Car hasn't been given as much TLC as it deserves past few months.Wheels started to give way to the winter seaside weather and water crept in under the lacquer on the lips again.Decided to get the wheels fully refurbished this time, centres were painted in a metalic Audi paintcode and the lips were in a flat coloured silver. This means the lips are no longer polished, but maintenance wise they suit me down to a the ground and should stay looking tidier easier and longer than they did before. Also took this as an oppertunity to have the two rear tyres replaced, two Continental Sport Contact 2's to match the fronts.

This one shows the slight contrast in the two colours to slightly break them up.

As im not keen on the whole debadging thing,i decided to do something alittle different and updated the rear badges to Polo 6R ones, front grill badge is to follow.

Car will be cleaned/waxed at the weekend will upload some pictures then.
