Washed the car this afternoon and treated it to some Poorboys Black Hole Show Glaze and Collinite 476s.

Its screaming to go lower on some different rims, and it definately needs a GTI lower center grille!

Been a while since we have seen you in the mkV section mr perkins, how's it going ?. I've seen you upgraded and gregs taken over the GTI. And yeah I agree change lower grille lower and when you have found what you want rims, good job polishing though !.

Cornishdrummer's Progress Thread - New Pics (pg 23)

Yeah I'm good mate,

Yeah there has been some progress not huge amounts got a few little bits lined up nothing major waiting till I can resmooth the front but I'm trying to pay a mortgage too and money's a lot tighter than it used to be.

But the most recent mod being fogs back on took me like an hour cause of crimping and using BNQ bolts lol

Quick question actually and sorry to hijack Cornish but lambda sensor is my only fault on vagcom how much would the fuel consumption increase if it needs changing ?.

Youl have to let us know if your going to any shows in the midlands this year !.

Thanks for the comments. I dont mind you taking over the thread.

Yeah I do want the lower GTI grill I have been looking on ebay but no luck yet. Someone on here had one but one of the clips was broken :(

If either of you come across one give me a yell. :D

Rims I will get at some point.

Lowering not to sure about as where I live and the roads I drive on and everything.

Might get/have some pressed plates soon as well :D Might be having them got for me as a gift :D

The gti badge/logo how easy is it to remove the letters as I only really want the backing and the clips which fit it on to the grill ?

Car looks good mate, you just need to sort out the wheels and suspension next

As for the GTI badges the letters can be removed very easily, they are only fixed on with adhesive foam tape

Yeah mate that's for the GTI grille badge

Just be careful though because the backing plastic is very thin and once the badge is clipped onto the grille its a right swine to get back out again. What badge/letters are you planning on putting on there?

It can be easily done but your best trying to find a second hand GTI grille badge, they are around £15 new.
Be a shame to buy a new one just to change it :)
