Tinted OEM headlights?

Post by dxg »

Saw an 04 Polo the other day, and could have sworn it had different headlamp units on it.

It was just a run of the mill Polo (nothing special), but the lights looked as if either the glass or the reflectors were tinted. Somewhere btwn a standard unit and a "joey" modded unit. This was on a silver car and, so, looked stunning. There was a 50 year old woman getting into it, so the chances of the lights being modified by the owner were pretty slim.

Anyone with an ETKA care to search for headlamp units to see what comes up - I'd be really interested...

Cheers,

Deek.

Tough one, I bet Nelson can read this better than I can.

I'd say there's a strong inverse relationship between age and the probability of modding. I believe in this sweeping generalisation. Anyone who doesn't must be wrong. :P

Plus, the car was an 04 and looked like it'd just come out the dealers (the tyres were still shiny!!)

Deek, can you make anything of that picture? I'd post it here but it's so huge I thought I'd better link it.

There's like 8 different lights on there, but only two new ones (LHD only, apparently). Was it a LHD car?
