Verity's Reflex Silver GTI

Know how that feels I have dewipered my rear but thought it a shame to just cap it off so I got a pressurised jet and shoved it on the end of the hose positioned it to sit snug in a blanking gromit turned it around to face behind me and boom an instant anti tail gater repellant

It shoots quite a distance about 8-9 feet some people thought it was brilliant and some people got very angry at the idea, to be honest I've used it a few times on strangers but most of the time it's just on friends when their behind me doesnt half make people laugh though ha ha.

You do know thats illegal..... Guy round here used to have one. Got stopped, made to remove it and fined £100 for malicious behaviour and inciting road rage.

Lol really no I didn't know that as I'll be sure not to use it on any police cars, I'm messing it never even gets used anymore mate, I try not to annoy people as my cars not exactly unrecognisable and I drive at about 20mph everywhere (I don't suffer from heavy foot syndrome),

haha i can see why it would be illegal! but nice idea all the same......if a mate was ever behind you and was in the need for some screenwash that could come in useful!
i hate tailgaters with a passion.
the best thing ive seen to get rid of them was a mate who was being tailgated by a girl in a clio. there was a car parked on the side of the road. and he waited until the last second to go around it. she was so close to him that she couldnt see this parked car until it was right infront of her. the look of horror on her face was priceless.
.....obviously not something i would ever suggest as it could all go horribly horribly wrong. specially in a busy area!! ....But it stopped her from tailgating again....at least whilst she was behind him

Re: Verity's Reflex Silver GTI - new wheels and tyres

4.6.2011 - New Wheels & Tyres

Took a 6 hour round trip to Bradford to get some new wheels and Tyres for GTI.

I've been meaning to get 2 new Tyres for the Lensos for a while. But realised for the price of the two Tyres I wanted (even at cost price) it worked out better for me to get 4 new Tyres and a set of wheels (something I've did with my SE to)
and pay a bit extra.

I'd been wanted a set of RXIIs as Winter wheels since I got the car (jack sold the original ones after I brought him the Lensos as there was no where to keep them)
So it made sence to look for a set now.

The condition of the wheels didn't bother me (refurbed the old wheels which I quite enjoyed so didn't mind doing it again)  I just wanted them for Tyres.
So I started to look around and found these.

They're in pretty good condition, with only a bit if curbing on one wheel

The first thing to go will be the centre caps!!!

They're not really to my taste ( I prefer Monster ;)
And they have all bubbled up.

They also won't be staying Red.
Much prefer the standard colour

Will be getting the Tyres taken off at VW. And will be sanding them down over the week.
Then hopefully resprayed (either by me, or wheel refurber at VW).
Then hopefully Tyres back on by the end of the week. And wheels on the car by the weekend :)

£280 :) which seems alright for some tyres ;)

I was going to buy some other ones for £300 (he was asking for more, but was happy to do 300) 4 good Tyres and refurbed a few months back, with brand new centre caps, but the chap selling them put them up for sale before he had any wheels to go on his car, so whilst I was waiting for him I found these. I really wanted to have the project of doing them up so I was happy haha.

There where also some others really local to me, that I bid on on eBay, which I think in the end went for £350
