Had my cruise control fitted last weekend so wanted to pop up a couple of pics.

Never before I have I managed +30MPG. But with this fitted this is now a regular thing. Driving style dependant.

Haven't seen a 1.4 tsi gearbox but have seen a Lupo 6 speed which looks similar but to small. As the tsi is a small block i would assume it is the same box as the lupo.

The o2s box i used was from an Audi A3 FSI (non turbo) you can also use the Touran and some others.
I have a document with all the codes and ratios if you want just send me your email address.

How much did you pay for you mounts from vibra technics?

If you are gong to do this i will have a chat to you about all the bits i had to over come if you want.
Hi there, which gearbox code did you use?
Are all 02s gearboxes bolt on including tdi models?
Thank you in advance!

I used an 02s.

And yes they are all the same just different ratio's.

I believe the diesel version is from the Touran.

Hope this helps.

Hi. Nice car! I also have a mk7 polo gti in red, I'm in progress of doing work to her but I think they are lovely cars.
I'm looking to do the brembo brakes on mine, how much where they? And where did you get them from?
I'm impressed on the work you have done... Looks lush!
Where did you get your re-map done? Was it by jabber sport?

Was you at USC Santa pod this year? If so what did you run down the 1/4 mile?

Good luck! :D

02s are all of these.
Do you remember the three letters code?

Some models come with 240mm clutch. Do these gearboxes fit to our cars with the oem 220mm (or vr6 228mm) clutch?

Hi Sarah,

Must say i do love the GTi's in Red :D and certainly agree that they are lovely cars and very understated.

The brembo's i fitted were from a Seat Leon Cupra R.
You will need the following;
Discs which are 323mm
Caliper
Caliper mounting bracket
New SS brake line or brake line from the said car.

I paid £200 for the calipers and the same for the brackets off ebay so just need to keep your eyes open for the deals.
For the whole lot you should be looking around £450-£500 however brand new from seat this will set you back about £1000.

I had my mapping done by AMD in Essex and went for the REVO map.
I only had this done here as there was a deal when buying the full Milltek having it fitted and mapping the car otherwise i would have gone to R-tech for a bespoke map. but that's just my opinion as there are many places out there.

I wasn't at Santa Pod and i haven't been down the quarter mile in my car ever but i have raced many cars Astra VXR, stage 1 MK6 GTI, Audi s3 to name a few and have beaten them

I have fitted a 6 speed gearbox to mine and have been off the clock by quite a bit  so am very happy with the performance.

I am in the process of collecting parts for my next performance upgrade so watch this space

The models that come with 240mm flywheel are using the 02m gearbox.

Here is a pic with all the gearbox codes you could use. I did not create this list just fond it when researching. Hope this helps.

Hey.

The red ones are lovely thanks so are the black ones. But I have to admit I do love the white ones.
Thanks for your help with the brakes. I'll get saving and looking out for some good offers. :)

Oh right. I have my car done at AMDESsex too. What bhp and torque are you pushing?
Are you local to Essex then?
I would have gone to jabbasport but I too was offered a good deal by AMDEssex when I had my de-cat fitted.

How hard of a job would you of said that the change of 5speed to 6speed gearbox was?? Did you have to move things around or cut away at anything under to bonnet to fit it?

Yes, i have to Admit they are pretty nippy little cars and iv beaten astra and corsa vxr's, beat ST's, mk5 golf gti.. Etc ...

So what's your next plans?

Good luck. Serah

Yes the white ones are certainly the best of the pack.

i'm pushing 226 bhp and 256 torque.
i have the REVO stage 2 map and have fitted the following

Full milltek turbo back non res
Forge front mount intercooler inc tip pipe
PD 160 airbox intake
Forge turbo pipe
Forge 007p dv

fitting the gearbox was quite easy in my eyes.
Yes the was a small amount of cutting to the passenger side chassis leg and a small amount of trimming to the gearbox itself but other than that quite simple

I used to live in SE London but now in Southend.

Do you go to Lakeside on Saturdays?

Next plans are more power and help laying the power down so going to fit a diff to my gearbox and fitting a hybrid turbo.

Hey

Thought I recognised your car on the forum, yes i do go lakeside occasionally. Since the last time I went up there I have done more work to my car. I have had stage 2 re-map, tbe miltek non res, forge tip and itg air filter.

The end result for now is 231bhp and 263ft/lbs. Future plans are fmic, brembo brakes, thinking of a big turbo conversion but still in two minds about it. This is due to the fact I'm looking to find a mk2 golf to strip and put on track. :D

Do you still go up lakeside on Saturdays?

lovely car, try to beat more powerfull cars mate, Golf GTI's and VXR's are no match for you

Hybrid turbo is a good choise, but you won't gain that much more power.
Hybrid K03 get to about 250 - 260Hp. (friend has this set up)
K04 gets a bit higher, about 280-290 (so they say, not sure about this)

never had traction problems with the 6speed gearbox?
youre gears are shorter as the ones from a 5speed or am i wrong?
diff would make it alot better, but if youre going with more power it can get worse again

ITG panel filter or cone?

That's great figures. What map did you go for the AMD or REVO?

Yeah still go up there from time to time. will have to come say hello and have a look over yours if you don't mind.

Completely understand about the MK2 as i am currently building a mk1 golf 4x4 with around 450bhp
