Cupra R Brembo 4 pot Brake group buy---- info

Post by live2themaxuk »

OK if you are interested the contact this bloke [email protected] as he is organising it all. You better be quick as he is tieing it all up VV soon. I dont know if this will fit with no probs but i personally am making an educated risk at it. If you wonna do the same contact him.

see the Corrado G60 thread for more info.

i think he means you need 17's to be able to fit the brakes in the wheel!

16's *will* work (the Ibiza Cupra R had 16's from the factory), but they need to have sufficient caliper clearance.

There's more info here - check out 'ibizacupra's post, about half way down, with a diagram showing how to check the clearance.

17"s are the Dogz-b*******s !

The wheels shrink the Polo to the naked eye, looks much meatier with 17"s

The wheels on the Leon Cupra R are indeed 18 inch, 5 stud fitment. These brakes are from the Ibiza Cupra R manufactured from 2000-2002, which had 16 inch alloys, 4 stud fitment wheels. As such, they should be a direct fit onto a Polo/Lupo.

Just watch out for the offset.

It's not enough to have a minimum of 16" wheel with these brakes, the clearance has to be pretty meaty to get these buggers behind!
