Hopefully going to be ordering a LCR splitter tomorrow. was going to get a rieger one or bluemotion but i cant justify the price for something which is going to hit the floor more times than a sluts knickers!

Any advice on fitting them? do they need trimming to fit?

yeah mate you are doing same thing as me was debating all the other splitters out there, end of the day my bumper scrapes on certain dips and some bumps as it is before the splitter so LCR it is! fitted it the other day and was thinking it was going to be hard to line up, I got a mate to help me hold it in place so I could step back and see if its in the middle you need to trim either end of the splitter as its far to long at each end which youll see how much to trim off. then you need to cut down the middle two slats to just over an inch i think mine are. then its a case of screwing in self taping screws all the way around to fix in place! although im still yet to put some sikaflex adheasive in there to for good measure. :D

Splitter came today so got to work fitting mine and Adam-R8's. Not too bad to fit with abit of time and effort in lining it up.
Really happy with how it looks. Seems to finish the front off nicely but in quite a subtle way.
Will post some pics tomorrow!

Well abit late with the update but hey!
Bit of an update, fitted a cupra r splitter about a month ago now and made a bracket up to fit the number plate properly. Then yesterday took a trip down to venom on my lunch break and ended up coming home with a badgeless grill.

My dad owns a garage so i got it done there as a birthday present haha. Although he did say if it was done for someone with the cost of the labour and materials involved it would not be worth it :? suppose it depends how badly you want it smoothing!

To be honest pal im a bit of a perfectionist too and had i got the debadge grill on at the time the smooting was done i'd of had the notch filled too! But i think im going to bite the bullet on this one and leave it so that i can put the GTI grill back in if i want to. Just depends how much it starts to bug me haha!
Yeh its not the best for speed humps, i try to avoid where i can or take them at crawling pace and annoy anyone following haha! problem is they hit the sills after the front wheels go over :(
