12v power socket problem

Polo 1.2S 2011

Anyone had problem with the 12v power socket?
My Garmin Nuvi 200 when plugged in shows no power from the socket to the lead (standard, works on my other car)
Dont tell me I need a special VW lead..

Its probably popped the fuse!

great, brand new car and they cant even make sure all fuses are working

Ime sure I read in the manual that it only works if the ignition is turned on and the engine is running, bit odd most are live or have been on any other car I have owned.
