I ordered my wifes Polo BM, with lots of extras at the end of April 2011 and was told by the dealer that thay I may receive it just in time for the new registrations in September, but I received a phone call today saying it had arrived at the dealers, only having just been updated on their system as "shipped". And the order had only changed to "confirmed" status 10 days previously.
I have to say I'm pretty impressed after all the posts I had read regarding BM's and GTI's and the prolonged delivery time.
Cheers

Re: Delivery - WoW!
There will be a slight delay on pics as we are in Cornwall and dealer is in Yorkshire (even though we live less than a mile from our local VW dealer!)
Hopefully I will go up and pick it up either this weekend or next!
Mrs B is quite excited!
Cheers

Re: Delivery - WoW!
Picked up the Bluemotion yesterday, drove it 324 miles back from Rotherham 75 mph giving a respectable average 69.7mpg.
Two points disapointed me
1. no locking glovebox
2. no stowage for the fuel cap when filling the tank at the pump
Also, I feel the car is "very nippy" when pushed, engine noise is barely audable, unless they have added acoustic padding etc in the later part of 2011 build. I suppose engine maps are being constantly updated and developed so perhaps the "response" has improved somewhat from the earlier Bluemotion models?

Re: Delivery - WoW!
Nice polo, quick question- whats the button for next to the right hand side heated seat switch?
Re: Delivery - WoW!
RHgti
the switch is to disable the stop / start technology when at traffic lights in a queue etc, specific to the Bluemotion I think.
