Golf mk4 1.8T IHI

Post by lil_sham »

Right, lost my old thread, so another ad with a revised price.

I've never done one of these so I'll probably miss loads out & will update if I remember something. Not sure if I really want to do this or not, but I've had this car for nearly 5 years & its been an up & down journey but here goes.

BODY

Full repaint in Audi misano Red with House of Kolor gold flake

Genuine R32 front with US spec side markers & plate recess put in

R-line rear with shortened plate recess

Genuine R32 sideskirts

Smoothed doors with Audi handles

mk5 boot release grafted into the boot

Aerial removed from roof & painted gloss black with house of kolor gold flake

side repeaters removed from wings & rolled arches.

Genuine Audi TT filler cap, fully working with the solenoid inside.

Slightly extended bonnet

Chasis also notched

Brakes, suspension & wheels

FK Highsport coilovers

S3 lower brace

Whiteline front & rear arb

Eibach adjustable top mounts

Quite a few bushes replaced by powerflex items

Brembo Junior GT kit up front, I think its identical to the Cupra R brake setup

Now the wheels, I'd rather not sell these, but if they sell the car then we can come to a deal. They're the speedline splits, but I have sold a pair of 8.5" ones to buy a pair of 9" ones so I have a staggered setup, they've been recently been refurbished, polished rims, lacquered, & crackle black centers, but due to the snow we had last year & I didn't stay on top of cleaning them, the lips have gone milky. Tyres have covered barely 500 miles, toyo's up front, budgets on back, 215 35 all round.

ENGINE

1.8T AUQ conversion from a 03 plate Seat Leon Cupra from Doncaster Motorspares with 55k on the clock, long tax & test.

IHI VF34, JBS Kit with a stage 3 custom code remap

Genesis 430cc injectors

Vibratechnic engine mounts

Forge front mount intercooler

ITG foam filter

Forge 007p dump valve

JBS 3" downpipe into a pipewerx 2.5" exhaust system

Also has a quaife LSD, 6spd 02M box

The interior is the let down I think, had a leather recaro interior but sold that for other plans, & bought a cloth recaro interior to get by with, they're not in bad nick overall, just a tear in the drivers side bolster, I do however have full anniversary headlining, grab handles & everything really, & we all know how hard these are to get, aswell as a momo team 280mm steering wheel. It also has climate control fitted too.

So there it is, I'm sure I've missed loads out, but will update as much as I can, & anyone is more than welcome to come & view the car also. It pulled 288bhp with 300ft lbs of torque on PSI's rollers after they fitted a TT fuel pump that was faulty, this was done only a few months back & had an oil change too, with motul 15-50 oil which is £45 for 4 litres. There's a few little niggly mechanical issues which I will be sorting asap & will not sell the car without sorting them out completely, getting a steel custom fabricated turbo intake pipe made as we speak which is setting me back £250. Now the price, as said above, I'd like to sell with out the wheels, but will add the wheels if someone is interested, I'd like around £6.5k without the wheels, price negotiable with them.

Right, enough of my essay lol, some pics, I must add that some of these pics are older than the others, so it has had different guises, the most recent ones are the ones with the white center'd wheels.

Yeah it did have a blowing manifold mate at the time, Ive got it welded up since then & the bigger turbo intake pipe should be better on the rollers now :)

I prefer the wheels white I think, will go back to white, & thanks mate :)
