Where'd you get your TT pedals from Joe? I despise going to the local dealers.. they never seem to want to help me.

I acutally won these used on eBay for £29 delivered. Originally i wanted to go to the stealers but they quoted me 39 inc vat for the lot which in hindsight wasen't too bad however i got a mk2 tt accel. pedal thrown in aswell with the auction...

I wonder why the hell i attempt these things some times: Here's a few pictures of last weekends progress of replacing the clutch.

Inlet mani off for starter motor access:

Gearbox off:

Sachs clutch on:

And just to top it off, old clutch with p***-all wear :(

And then it got a bit worse , spent yesterday trying to get GB back on, Drivers flange kept hitting everything in sight so thought i'd undo it, only to be greeted by pissing gearbox oil everywhere..

So more oil is needed along with trying to get the gearbox on round 2 - fun times........

That's just plain unlucky!
Top marks for changing the clutch yourself though, despite it being a hassle you certainly have saved yourself a small fortune in labour charges

The Sach Clutch is very nice though, only covered 1000 miles with mine before selling the car but it felt great :)

She's on

...and all back together and drives lavly!

Started sat afternoon, finished this morning. Had to cycle at full pelt to VW to get some gear oil before they close yesterday.

Only bad bits of the install was a damaged wire on the pre cat lambda:

dangly green one. Although there are so many GTIs being broken at the mo i should be able to source a new one.

Getting that damned gearbox back was a absolute pain in the f*****g arse. Not even sure how we did it in the end- eventually popped on!

Also discovered my gearbox mount had hairline cracks in it:

Welded the cracks up and grinded them down flush. Will definitely look at replacing these mounts soon.

Little snowy shot :

and my new pedals...
