Hi, last week i bought a polo gti with 131k on the clock, full service history, mot and major service last week from Birmingham, and here it is :)

Welcome along dude,thats a very early GTI.Looks like a nice origional buy,dont see many with those nadges and air conditioning.

Look foward to the updates.

Cheers :) yeah i wondered about the ac, most gtis have a different one where its got a little screen on

Yeh thay have silver GTI badges with a red "I",Climate control AC and the 6 disc changer is normally located in the boot.

Nice to have something alittle different though ay.

Most GTIs have Climate Control, the earliest of GTis had A/C, as well as normally being satin silver rather then reflex silver, as well as a few other changes I think

Cheers everyone :) i had to go from exeter to birmingham to get it, next buy will be coilovers when i can afford and find some good ones, last time on my 6ns i had crap 150 quid ones, anyone know of any good makes and a place to buy them?

Oh and Verity i read your whole thread on the train on the way to pick up the polo :)

Cheeky early gti, noice.!

Best place for parts like that is venom Motorsport they are excellent mate, give them a ring they will help you out.

I'd go for ap coilys at around £400 quid younger the best of both worlds.....

Yeah Venom Motorsport are really good, decent prices and quick delivery :)
You could push the boat out by spending an extra £100 and get Venom's "own brand" coilovers produced by SPAX :)
500 sheets but they are fully adjustable as in ride height and damping settings.

On the coilover discussion i've been rocking a cheap set of JOM's from ebay for almost 18 months now, without a single problem. If moneys tight etc.... :|
