Just had a little fun in the garage this evening:

Gonna put the grilles in tomorrow but need to 'make' some brackets to hold them because the bumper didn't come with the factory fitting kit!


Got some genuine black GTI mats coming tomorrow and hopefully another little surprise later this week!!

Thats good! I want it lower but I like having a comfortable backside hahah... But might sacrifice for looks! And it does look very beefy hahaha... Gonna put the grilles in tonight!

Got a few more updates!

Ever since I got my new gti floor mats/new front bumper/new seats, I have wanted to try keep my car always clean! I wash, polish and hoover my car on nearly a 5 day basis! Looks fantastic though when its all clean inside and out!

Also like to keep it clean under the bonnet! Serviced it and put in a new oil filter in, bought a K&N panel filter and also managed to pick up a pd160 intake off briskoda.net!


Got myself a golf V GTI flat bottom steering wheel with a replacement R-line centre cap for my air bag!


And also changed the cat back system to a GTI one!



Next things to go on are:
A new clutch (Spec 1 SMF from Awesome)
312mm front brakes with gloss white callipers and carriers
256mm rear brakes with gloss white callipers and carriers
Pioneer head unit with intergrated sat nav/reversing camera capabilities/ipod, etc
Forge front mount intercooler- Can I get one which will fit?
Gti side skirts
Tints

Engine stuff and possible full respray is gonna happen next year!

There is no FORGE FMIC for the 1.9TDI if I am not wrong. You are better off buying a Seat Cupra IC, iirc they are about 300 odd quid
from the stealers.

Just picked up a set of 312mm front brakes (callipers/carriers/pads/discs) and a set of 285mm rear brakes (callipers/carriers/pads/discs) that came off a MK5 golf gti for 150! The guy selling them is not very happy as they had no reserve and he thought they would go for double that!

HAHAHA never! You will have to get them out my cold dead hands! Steering wheel was just over 200 off ebay! Brakes were the bargain of the century!

Had Alex (buzzmotorsport) over today to fit a cruise control unit in his car! Happy customer and took a few photos of our cars side-by-side!


Looking into upgrading to a black gti from my 1.9tdi but its all about insurance :S Would be transferring all my mods over onto the gti if I got one!
