Post by SooperDR »

So.. I'm going to go for an Overhaul and onto Coilovers!

But.. What about Strut Braces..??

OMP.. Other.. and Upper.. Lower.. Both.. ??

Your thoughts Gentleman please.. (And Ladies)..

I have the omp upper and lower kit and it was all fitted together with my coilovers and it turned the car into a dream.

New suspension, strut braces and bushes will be amazing.....

Then get it all aligned and youl have a go kart....

Be warned, if you're very low the strut brace will hit the floor over heavy bumps etc. But all of what craig said will improve the handling sevenfold.

Yeah.. A mate has a Mini which bumper scrapes the white lines..

His Lower Strut is Red on top and Silver underneath, constantly scraping bumps, cats eyes.

I'd get the lower strut brace, as that gives the most improvement. The top strut brace is pretty much for cosmetic purposes. (not saying it dont look nice, its just a recession and I'd rather pocket that extra £40 he's going to spend )

Apart from eBay, try a good selection of scrapyards. There are plenty of sites online that deal with nationwide scrapyards, think of them as the gocompare.com for scrapyards ;) That should get you your front G60 calipers. In terms of wishbones, for powerflex you can use venom motorsports. Front discs are more important than rears, so use venom again and get a set of cross-drilled black diamonds. Rear brakes arent that important, so a set of brembos from GSF outta do the trick.

In general, have a look through scrapyards for car parts, and also clubpolo.co.uk's classifieds as well as our own here. :)
