2001 (Y plate) VW Polo Estate (Variant) 1.9 tdi SE (110bhp)

Bought the car Mid December 2010 & although it has a decent amount of space inside & a pretty big boot, I’m quickly discovering it’s not big enough for my needs, to be fair I was really looking for a Mk4 Golf estate, but struggling to find ‘the right one’ & this caught my eye. I do like the car it drives well, definitely quicker than you’d expect one to be & economical, if I didn’t need the extra room inside I’d be keeping it. Only reason for sale is I’ve found the golf estate I was looking for.

I am only the second owner (was family owned previously, i.e. wifes car & then there son/daughter learned to drive in it etc.), its covered 138000 miles but has been regularly serviced approx every 10,000miles - VW upto 80k miles, then local garage up to 120k, I have the complete service/parts history/paperwork from the previous owner (see pics on link below). I bought the car at 136414miles & the 130,000 service had been missed, so had the oil & filters changed in accordance with the schedules. Its MOT’d - 25/02/2012 & TAX’d – 08/11 (cheap TAX £110 for 12 mnth).

The bodywork is in excellent condition, being picky it has an untouched up chip/mark on the front drivers door, a few dinks in the door shuts (seat belts not returned) & front end has some stone chips (again see pics in link below). The interior is clean & tidy a few marks (no rips, tears or fag burns) here & there, but to be expected of a 10year old family car, glovebox catch is missing, but still openable. The car has been reliable in the short time I’ve owned it, it drives nice and is nippy yet still very economical, apparently it will average 50-55mpg (I’ve been getting 40mpg urban) I also haven’t had to top the oil up & there’s been no sign of any smoke, both the gearbox & brakes are also very good, you really wouldn’t know this car had covered the mileage.
