lovely car, try to beat more powerfull cars mate, Golf GTI's and VXR's are no match for you

Hybrid turbo is a good choise, but you won't gain that much more power.
Hybrid K03 get to about 250 - 260Hp. (friend has this set up)
K04 gets a bit higher, about 280-290 (so they say, not sure about this)

never had traction problems with the 6speed gearbox?
youre gears are shorter as the ones from a 5speed or am i wrong?
diff would make it alot better, but if youre going with more power it can get worse again

I have certainly raced more powerful cars than this it was just what came to mind when typing.

As for the ko3 hybrid CR Turbo's do two types one rated for around 260-280 bhp and another rated for over 300 bhp.

Once it is done i shall feed back on the figures but didn't want to go big turbo as this is my daily driver and i'm currently building a mk1 golf 4x4 with a 2.0 16v & GT3071R bolted to it.

Traction is only an issue in first gear but want to fit the diff mainly for cornering ability and to help aid the extra power i will be putting out

but makes no diffrence, i'll bet it will run nice.

stil got guestions about youre car,
youre Brembo calipers are from a Cupra R right? so you have 5x112 or did you use spacers?
and what about the frame for the Corsa VXR Recaro CS seats? does it fit the polo or did you customize it or buy new frames?

The models that come with 240mm flywheel are using the 02m gearbox.

Here is a pic with all the gearbox codes you could use. I did not create this list just fond it when researching. Hope this helps.

My Brembo's are from the mk1 Seat Leon Cupra R so 5x100.
The corsa frames do not fit the polo so i made mounting brackets as the corsa frame has less width than our original seats.
The corsa seat frame bolts to the plate then the plate bolts to the orignal holes in the floor in our cars. If that make sense.

here are the plates but if you want i can try and get better pics for you so you can see what i am trying to explain.

That gearbox is bolted to a small block so i would say no as the bell housing is wrong.

This box is similar to the ones found in the Lupo GTI which i have seen and will not work in my eyes.

Ok. Well i'm normally with a mk4 golf gti red, mk4 golf gti black, mk4 25th anniversary golf in black, white starlet, red punto, blue lupo, black celica or a white escort rs turbo, grey 200sx s14, Mazda rx7 and a white edition 30 .....
You would probably recognise the red golf gti haha.

Oh cool. Sounds like you know what you're doing. When I 1.8t my mk2 I might have to use your brains to help me with a few things if that's ok.

I want at least gear ratios similar to GQM or KWB....

To be honest this is the only info i have on 02s gearboxes but i have heard of another forum member saying he was going to fit an 02m but it appears every time he is asked if he did this he doesn't answer so may have to try yourself.

I may have a list of ratios for 02m's so will have a look for you.

WOW Just read the whole thread, looks amazing! good to see you've done pretty much everything yourself. What happened to the porsche twists or they still on? And how come the hangers for you calipers were so expensive not much to them is there?
