Please HEEEEEELP!!!

Post by polonuts »

Hi All,
I am desperately trying to get hold of the Ashtray/Lighter section of a MK3 polo dashboard. There is a distinct lack of polo's in my local scrappys at the moment. If you have one of these lying around the garage and you want to get rid, then please e-mail me . :P

when you remove the cover for the heater dials, you have two top screws and two bottom screws. If you take out the bottom two and them pull the bit the ashtray is housed in the bit I need comes straight out.

I would be eternally grateful if you could get a price for me and see if they do mail order if you are not in the South Wales area

I may be able to get one for you for free. You just pay the cost of the postage for me to post it for you.

I'll see what I can do for you, but it will have to be next week some time.

my original tray and housing was smashed to bits when I bought the car. i rescued it from a brikie who was using it to transport his tools and everything else to work. Theres alot of work to do on the car but it should be worth it in the end.

Theres this J plater that the tip uses round here to transport all kinds of rubbish about. Poor thing. It ends up parked on B & Qs car park where I work. Its a good thing that some are being saved from this cruelty!

thanks for the compliment. I originally bought it as a second car to get back and forth to work until it fell apart, but after a few weeks I fell in love with it and started to restore it to its former glory. I don't know how far I will go with it, but I 'm enjoying every minute of it so far

 just as you guys said about those two, what do i see going past from my bedroom window?

G-plate white mk2 hatch, seats down, absolutely stuffed full (to the lower window line anyway) of bags of concrete and other builders' gear :D looking a bit battered and poorly.

it's like a disease!

(( saying nothing of the amount of garden rubbish i helped cart to the tip last week :) ))

Hi guys
did anyone have better luck than I did trying to find an ashtray housing?
If you did, can you let me know so I can send payment for postage.

Thanks again
