going to go for 16" alloys how low?

as per the title b's and g's erm coilovers i will be after soon how much of a drop will be required as i want a set of ap's now or weitecs just wonder if there low enough i want to car to sit just above the tyres not slammed by any means and plan on using some spacers 10mm or so...

I'm on 16's with 195/45/16 tyres and some Raceland coilovers which I think adjust down to 100mm. The adjusters are out of the back and it doesn't sit low enough. Still a about a 1cm arch gap above the tyre. Think I'm going to have to get some custom rear springs to get rid of the arch gap.

My car also sits lower than my brothers 9n. He's got 17's and no rear arch gap

iv got 17's now mate but i was in a bad crash on holiday and i literally cant take the ride on 17s i literally feel everything...

will the ride on 16's not be worse as you'll have to go lower if you don't want any arch gap. Meaning the springs/shocks will be compressed more giving less room for movement and therefore giving a harsh ride?
