Stiggy, you sure you've only got midline not highline ?
My wife's SEL with midline doesn't display any phone information, it all comes up on the RCD display?

I have a GTI with the black/white midline display. The guys ay HazzyDayz say they can fix it easily enough, and stop the Bluetooth kit displaying anything on the midline.Norbreck21a wrote:Stiggy, you sure you've only got midline not highline ?

Strangely enough, I was using the phone and satnav in the car today and it was all as it should be. I will keep an eye on it.

A couple of questions about this kit. I have a 1.2TSI SEL with the RCD510 stereo.
Do I need VagCom to set it up or is it true plug & play?
How did you install the microphone?
Bluewagen is selling the VW kit at half the price of the Kufatec models. So am interested.

Re: RCD 510 & 9wZ Bluetooth
Hi all
This past weekend I've installed the 9W7 unit in combination with my RCD-510. The bluetooth unit seems to work correctly apart from the address book is not syncing correctly, with the phone numbers being mixed in with the names. The only way a call can be made is if a number is entered via the keypad.
Has anyone experienced or know of a way in which I might resolve this.Thanks.
Jon

Did you need VagCom to set it up?
Re: RCD 510 & 9wZ Bluetooth
Once I switched to the 9w7 instead of the 9wZ it picked it up straight away, no settings required changing, although I did check all the settings once fitted.

I removed the interior light cover and pillar A cover and used a straightened out coat hanger to feed the wire through.

Got the 510, I want this bluetooth added! How easy to do? And what parts do I need?
Re: RCD 510 & 9wZ Bluetooth
The 9w7 was very simple, plug in, run the mic and hey presto....
