6N2 tdi se 1.4...mpg??
Welcome,
Is your engine light on ?. A faulty lambda sensor can equate for excessive petrol consumption it's a very common fault.
What's happened with your GTI ??.

You should be getting 55-60mpg out of the Polo on average and possibly more on Motorway Journeys.
Your best bet is to fill the tank to the brim and do a mileage check to see exactly what miles your getting from a full tank of diesel, its the best way of telling roughly what MPG your getting. Anything below 42-43mpg would be a concern because those little 1.4TDI engines really are impressive and very good on fuel.

Re: 6N2 tdi se 1.4...mpg??
sorry for the slow replies, but yes red6n i know that.....just happens mines a tdi as in diesel.......dont even ask about the gti ,everything was wrong about it....had all the ingredients to make it nice, lowered new gearbox history met black nice car.....but some idiot had "improved it"took the nice grilles out and put some s**t chrome effect mesh instead, binned the gti whells in favour of some big gay wheels....bloacked the windows and had an exshaust i could stick my head in
shame as the car was essentially a nice one apart from that s**t.....£1800 from a guy on ebay.....but the engine turned out to be half f£cked oiling up the plugs all the time etc ......sold it for £1300 a month later...and the t**t ragged the arse out of it and blew the bow to smithereens
cheers 6n2 gti 00 ,off to the cotswolds and gamefest in birmingham on saturday so gonna do that ,fill it up and check the mileage that way

Once you've ensured it's a healthy engine and there are no underlying issues, you may wish to contact us for a remap - performance, economy or a blended tune.

You have to try hard to get less than 50MPG out of the 1.4 TDi!
