Polo GTI custom exhaust

Post by NickGTI »

Can anyone share some opinions with me on this? thoughts or ideas etc... basically an exhaust company near me have said they could do me a stainless steal cat back with no centre silencer just the back box and tail pipe for 250£ with a lifetime guarantee... was just interested to see if anyone had any photos of there after market exhaust or even sound clips/videos? cheers!

Haven't got any pics, but had mine done by longlife for 345 a few years back, no center silencer just catback and backbox. 2inch all round.

Was getting bored of the loudness so had a small silencer welded in last week to make it more subtle.

If your going down the custom route which seems to be the most popular these days then its certainly best to retain the silencer on the centre section.
The OEM exhausts from Volkswagen are stupidly priced and unlike a stainless box dont come with a lifetime guarntee.

Most of the exhaust manufacturers no longer sell systems for the 6N2 GTI so getting a custom system is your best bet

i recieved a quote from a local company near to me who specialise is custom exhaust building and fitting, they quoted me 310 for a decat, straight through 2 1/4" stainless pipe, no centre silencer just a back box and custom tip.... or 250 for the same set up only without the decat. reasonable price really if you ask me lol!

Exactly the same price as mine mate 300, really worth the extra silencer I had one put in and a back box but the rear silencer is like a bike can, and my middle box is tiny but without it would be silly loud, mines loud as it is....

See my links for the sound... :D

Decat all the way hehe!
