well itll be cheeper if you take it in demounted cos there gunna have to remove them anyway to do them but seen as theres that little bit of damage then you could just mount it with the easily accesible screws cos then it takes less time to remove and that means the whle car is there so they can do the rear 3/4 panel and possibly the rear bumper too

Yeh good point. I'd rather do it myself anyway because I don't like trusting people with my car. When my car went in to have the windows done the panel in the boot was hanging off with a clip broken.
I've managed to get both front door panels off and back on again loads of times with no probs, and I assume that how the handles and mirrors come off so I'll do it.

Hello Mole!! Just wondering how much it would cost for the rear roof spolier would cost on its own? also can you see the 3rd middle breaklight when using this spolier.
also the front spot light you bought from VAG parts, they were genuine VW parts weren't they? the only reason i'm asking is that my dealer cant find them on their system, so was going to buy them from martyn and get my vw garage to fit them as their goodwill gesture for me.

Hello mate.
For the rear spolier on it's own you're looking at £225.00 for the "classic" version or £260.00 for the "sports" version. This is plus delivery and plus paint! The difference between the two versions is that the "sports" version is the "classic" version, but also comes with two extra pieces that attach to the roof of the car (as can be seen in the pic below).

You save LOTS of money buying the kit as a whole.
As for the lights, they are fog lights not spot lights, so maybe why they can't find them? But yes, they are genuine VW parts. Anyway, if you would like to try and get them from VW then the part numbers are as follows:
6Q0 853 665A B41 - LH Grille x1
6Q0 853 666C B41 - RH Grille x1
6Q0 941 699 - LH Fog Lamp x1
6Q0 941 700 - RH Fog Lamp x1
N905 353 01 - Clip x6
N 013 9671 - Screw x6
6Q0 941 531C 20H - Headlamp Switch x1
You will also need 2x plugs suitable for the fog lamps, and 4x Electrical terminals for fog connection and also 1x Electrical terminal for the headlamp switch.
Your idea of ordering from Martyn and getting VW to fit them is a good idea if they will do it! I'd say go for it if they will
You can't beat Martyns prices!
Hope this helps.

lol tigor!
Spent about 5 hours outside making sure every peice fits nicely, then removing rubbing strips, handles and mirrors.
Took the whole lot to bodyshop and got a price.
Going to take it down there tomorrow!
Would post some pics but need to get some batteries for cam, don't even supply rechargables with a £400 camera!!
Will post some tomorrow of my poor car
