LowFoon's Blue 5-Door Progress :: 20vt UPDATE - 25AUG [P25]

Post by benmkiv »

Food for thought, this months red line turbo relocation to the boot ;) men that a lot less of the turbo heat sinks through to the manifold amongst other benefits.

K04 would be amazing lol... Breaking an s3 is what you need to search for ha...

Mounts hard to get made???
Funny thing is that I had just put a cat back SS long life exhaust not long ago but now the bore is way too small to be running on a turbo engine, so going to have to sell up the small one.

A lot of custom work has gone into making this fit including driveshafts, mounts, and even the little metal cap at the end of the gearbox as it is touching the chassis as we cannot raise it anymore because of the bonnet, or lower it as the sump is REALLY close to the ground as it is..

Cheers dude, Didn't see fast car as I only buy PVW.. but the main thing of this project is to keep it a daily and safe! This is where I have to weigh out the power as I could easily splash out loads of power on it.. but.. I'd rather upgrade to a bigger car built to them sort of figures..

I definitely know what you mean on that. I mean the golfs I think the 150bhp are pretty lame there such a lot of weight to lug about big cars but then in a little polo I think you might hve I just right and also you have to think about putting the power down the tt's have no problem or the s3's with he full quattro system but the polo really has nothing weighing it down so I reckon 150 would be perfect. If I'm honest is love a fast car bit right now I think of I did id end up killing myself

Lack of updates, I know. I have been slacking + my iphone camera breaking down didnt help.

Polo 20vt is coming along nicely, had the electrician sort out my loom yesterday which it was turning over very nicely. He has now taken the ECU away for it to be mapped to about 215bhp - Should have it back and on the road by this weekend.

Brakes are all on, they were actually on ages ago - just haven't had the time to update..

...as new calipers were going on, I decided to have the blue calipers instead of yellow previously which I think was a good move.
Excuse the wheel arch gap - the car was still jacked up - Honestly...
