I am toying with the idea of lowering my car (sometime in the future anyway), and don't have a clue about the various set ups that you can achieve. I was possibly looking to drop 60mm - 80mm as I will be running 13" wheels.
Are there springs out there that can achieve this drop, or would I be looking at coilovers? Backing that up, how do coilovers work, and how much more work would be required in order to fit them? I have heard that you really need to stiffen up the car in order to use coilovers (strut braces, anti roll bars, etc), is this so?
Any help advice, or experience appreciated.
Thanks.
Karl.

There are so many different suspension kits available you can choose whatever lowering you want. There kits that lower a bit more on the front e.g 60/40 80/60 etc or ones with adjustable rear shockers for height.
Coilovers are expensive but you can achive varoius ride heights with ease. They cost about £650 for a set of FK's which is about the cheapest you will get new. The downside to fitting them is the hardness of the ride, they will more firm and put more stresses and strains through the chassis.

i'm running on a 40mm ish drop, the only problem i have is a little scrubbing on the front arches, seems the front wheels stick out a little n rub when i hit bumps!
if i were u i would get some uprated shocks as well as the springs, gives a harsher ride but will mean less travel which i think is what i am suffering from!
