Just wanted to check whether you are able to split the headlights like on the 9n3 so I can clean it and possibly tint the back if possible?

It is possible, but I couldnt get mine apart. I failed using the oven method, apparently the way to do it is with a heat gun and a stanley knife to just cut the glue

Sorry I haven't been here in ages - plenty of car stuff and uni stuff going on :)

Just wanted to check - what LED sidelights can I get as I have 6000k HID's in but my current sidelights are hardly giving off any bright light at all :(

Any recommendations?

Lastly, what do you guys think to GTI Monza's in anthracite on a silver 9n?

Cheers, Mike

Get some tower LEDs from ultraleds, they're decent apaprently and work well good colour match for 6000k HIDs......... did you manage to splot those lights in the end?

Moza's would look sick in anthraciteim tempted, but go for black with a silver car I reckon!

I personally don't like Monzas, but that's just me.

I bought me LED sidelights from MrAmg on ebay, was so helpful, even when one failed two days later, just sent out a replacement free of charge. Had them in my current car and my old one and still working perfectly.

Thinking of colour coding my wing mirrors today :D

Is it just a case of sand down and smooth followed by plastic primer and paint?

Will have a look for photos of anthracite Monza's

Colour coding cost me 4-5 cans of paint from Halfords and a few cans of primer and lacquer. If I'm really honest, check with a body shop first how much they would charge as trying to get the strips smooth yourself is a pain in the a**e!!

Did you take the rub strips off to colour code them? How easily do they come off?

Ash :)
