Interior Lights

Post by dje123 »

Just a quick silly question..

How to i get to the bulbs in the central roof console and units under the sun visor?

Is there any technique or is it just 100% bravery?

Cheers

The sun visor ones slide one way. Can't remember which. Can't even remember how I did the centre one. So I'm not much help haha

Be carefull though as they are both very easy to break. Which I found out :(

Did you manage to get the centre light unit out at all? Just pull it out. It's clipped in.

Ash :)

Pull off the trim piece behind the light unit and then you can get your hand in to pull it out. If you really want to then you can prise the plastic lens off and bend the clips back but it's not necessary to do as it comes out so easily with a bit of a pull.

Yeah just prise at the bulb cover plastic to get it off, take bulb out with fingers and then unscrew the screw underneath the bulb, now you can prise the whole unit out if needed. I noticed this when fitting my Parrot handsfree microphone as its fed up behind the steering wheel up through the side sill and into the roof lining, then it pops out through the light assembly and is mounted on my sun visor. Very neat!
