Couldn't be bothered to put my 1.0 back on the road because of m.o.t, tax and insurance hassle. While the beast is having a green makeover i've borrowed a car from work. It's a............ Suzuki Alto! Mega embarrasment!!!!

Tempted to black out the front windows at least so I dont get seen, and its parked in the next street lol.

Might whack the coilovers from the 1.0 on it to see the bosses face on monday lol 8)

Haha they are horrific little cars like. It was either that or a Zafira with 'Pattinson Auctions' stickers all over it lol.

Hopefully about 3-4 weeks for the Polo back on the road. Just taking advantage of the time its off the road and getting loads of bits and bobs done :D

Not long now until she is back....... Getting the brakes painted next week and hopefully get some finished pics up soon once all the painting and polishing is finished :D

In the meantime, this Alto (all 65 bhp of it) is doing nothing for my street cred!!!!! I keep getting bullied by other drivers lol

And it has a rattly exhaust which just adds to the effect and makes people stare more, as well as no power steering, no radio, streaky windscreen wipers so basically can't see anything if it is raining and it stinks!!

A few randoms:

Don't think I'll use this, the GTI logo is different to the actual one so it looks a bit cheap and tacky I think.............

Haha I don't know how the first pic ended up that way round?! It was the right way on the preview lol :?

Just had some horrible chavs throwing fireworks in the street, very narrowly missing the Polo....... I would have actually killed them if it had hit it!

Moosegirl wrote:Yeah lol, going for green under the bonnet and the brakes too. Nothing too extreme.

I want the car looking nice and normal and then when the bonnet is lifted a nice little eye-catcher! :D

The green LEDs are to replace the red ones for when the car is locked and they flash.

I'm trying to find some green hoses...... without much luck though! So any ideas are welcome for this!

Tadaaa!

Hope that helps with your green hoses!

oooor.

Tadaaaaa!

http://www.sfsperformance.co.uk/colours.asp

I had purple hoses for my previous GTI 1.8T (golf) and found that samco were a bit.... meh, and it takes them something like 4 weeks minimum to make the non-standard coloured hoses. SFS are really nice, they will help you out with any queries and work to get the hoses to you ASAP. (obviously this is just my experience and i mean nothing bad against Samco)

Car looks awesome by the way. interested in what will be coming out of this recent work.

it's threads like this that make it really difficult to stick to my promise to myself that i wont spend any money modding this polo after the amount i spent on the golf :(
