has anyone noticed their fan continuing to run after they switch the engine off ?

during august and on a hot day and after a lengthy motoray 80mph+ drive the fan ran on for about 30 seconds.

This has been a VW/Audi feature for years, but rarely occurs on my Polo - and then only after a long thrash in hot weather or stop/start in heavy traffic.

It can be a d bit disconcerting as you walk away from you locked car to hear it suddenly start roaring...

This is as said the vw/Audi thing it works in place of what is essentially a turbo timer. I do worry that it won't turn off and will drain the battery but like most vw features never seen it as a problem.
