Don't worry Sy, we don't all like the same things, this was done partly to protect the badge for when I'm on track.vRSy wrote:Have to say john, I preferred the std badge tbh
Re: New nose
A bit dark when I took this. More subtle than I thought too.
Re: New nose
Is there matt black wrap. That would look better I think

Re: New nose
Nice, good work. Now you must just wrap mirror caps too.
Re: New nose
Loving the badge wrap
How hard was it to cover? Looks a bit fiddly to do

It actually took longer to get the badge off than it did to wrap it. You do need a careful hand and a sharp hobby knife/scalpel to cut the film accurately. Also ensure you work methodically with a heat gun/ hairdryer so that all the wrinkles are removed and the film has stuck down nicely. Took me about half an hour to cut and stick the wrap nicely, but another half an hour to get everything apart and back together again.
Separating the chrome front of the badge from the grey plastic mount is the fiddliest bit and there are several clips to work off before they will separate. Don't worry if one or two of the clips do break as there is an overkill of them to keep it fixed anyway. In my opinion you definitely need to separate the two parts of the badge otherwise you cannot get a neat finish to the edging of the carbon wrap.

Re: New nose
i like them both sorry for sitting on the fence.
Re: New nose
I like stock to be honest, the carbon kinda just dulls down the badge a bit too much for me.....
Re: New nose & now edge detail
Another little mod for today...
Wrapped the two front grey plastic sections with the carbon wrap to see what they look like. Not bad actually. Livens the front end up too.
