Replacing Side Repeater Bulb?

Side repeater bulb in the wingmirror seems to have stopped working. Ive managed to unclip the wingmirror cover but i cannot get the plug out from the side repeater bulb. Has anyone done this before?

Are they not sealed units on these? I changed one on a Golf and from what I remember they aren't that expensive from VW anyway. I'm pretty sure they are held in my 2x Torx screws, T10's

so i need to replace the full base??

Also any idea how to remove that plug ive tried just pulling on it but it seems pretty tight and was a bit scared of pulling the wires out it

This bit should do, it might be easier to unplug once it's loose, there may be a screw under the mirror glass, which just pops off..but be careful

When you do fix it,can you post up a piccie and some words on how to....it's one of the jobs for the future...
