How do you split the front badge?

Post by loud »

I've removed my front VW badge, how do you split the silver emblem off the grey backing? Do you have to cut the tabs off then re-attach with glue or something?!

Cheers

I tried and tried but couldn't get them to release, so I lost my patience and chopped the tops off, leaving the stumps which I then glued the badge back on to

Fair one! I find it a bit worrying how easily the badges can be removed...I'm glad that isn't common knowledge or everyone would be walking around like the Beastie Boys with VW badges around their necks

I've never seen a volkswagen around here without a badge, fortunately. Seems like not that many know how to remove it here :P

And yes, that is good. I can imagine kids having fun by nicking them.. -_- Just like some rats break of the merc badges.

Its weird though cos after you turn it, you need to press the clips down, unless they broke it off
