What Mk Polo do i have?

Can I first start by saying that this is my first post on this side and i am sorry if its in the wrong place.

I believe my new Polo to be a Mk5, but to be honest I aint got a clue!
Could anybody let me know? as there is loads... is it a mk5 9n or a mk4 6n2?

That's a mkv or a mk 4 facelift or a 6n2 depending where you look

Its a MK5 6N2 Polo mate

Some companies and people refer to them as a MK4 Facelift but it is really the 5th generation of Polo so is therefore a MK5

The MK4 is known as the 6N but from 1999-2002 the 6N was given a facelift and was then labelled a 6N2.
Same shell but different front & rear ends

Does this mean mk4 stuff will fit the same?

No worries mate

Some MK4 bits are interchangeable but not all parts so just be careful when buying stuff

just wanna lower it between 35 to 40mm

Coilovers and springs are not interchangeable these parts are different so be careful!

After playing with the car for a bit and getting to know it, i found a sticker in the boot and it says Polo s 6n2 on it

So i am happy now
