Thanks all for the replies.

Will make a video as requested, only waiting for the weather to dry up. It has been great fun driving it and very reliable engine.
A few niggly bits need to be sorted out here and there, but eventually we will have them all ironed out.

On my to-do list:
-Replace faulty MAF sensor
-Source a set of 16" s**t winter alloys for now (help!)
-Braking issues
-Slight exhaust manifold leak
-Tracking

I have got a lot of time for this! Top job mate. Nice to see that you have taken the time and money to do this. But as everyone says get a video up!!

Oh dear fella, that was a shallow sump aswell was it not???? All about a skid plate on your sump mate, would happily knock one up for you if wanted ha :)

Oem guard for a 1.8t 02 plate golf is 1j0 018 930 c

Yes it was a re-enforced steel shallow sump :lol:
Could do with a skid plate but it will have to be one to the shape of the Polo...
