Well in my case it did cus the speakers in the rear doors are screwed! lol had these from my old car... they sound a lot better than the stock speakers if set up rite, but you can get just as good replacement speakers that can be put in the door with slit modification to the bracket...

POD - The Lovable GTi - PASSED MOT! =)

Post by KPerryGTi »

Soooo took the old fella in for an MOT today, probably the cheapest and quickest MOT I have ever had! lol! Only failed on a CV boot and one wiper...

The guys I used to work for at a garage in Paignton have left to start their own garage, they didn't have much work and managed to do my CV boot and wiper in under 5 mins o.O was like a pit stop! (there was 3 of them) Only bad news is I have an advisory on my rear N/S shock as it appears to be leaking a little and I'm going to need a new clutch... All I can think is the shock gives me an excuse to get my coilovers!

Also Talking about custom fitting and exhaust for me... thinking about this tip just curving slightly from under the bumper...? thoughts?

Image

Overall plans are as follows...

Coilovers
Exhaust
(New) Induction Kit
Roof Wrap Gloss Black
Roof Bars
Spacers
New Carpet Black

Just need the papper to do it all =/ I see lots of over time in my not so distant future =(

If any of you are near the torbay area the garage they have just opened is called South West Coast Customs in paignton, good bunch of guys and great prices plus they are just starting out so need work!

That exhaust backbox looks similar to the system that Scorpion supply for the GTI

Here's what they look like from behind (Greg's GTI)

Yeah I see what you mean... gonna talk to the guys who are going to be doing it see what they can suggest cus I agree having it sticking out underneath isnt a great look... but even if they can take it up 1/2"or 1" it would sit better....

Anyway time for me to find the leak today that has been sending my carpet moldy!!
