He he, mk5 GTI hurdy? Could tell by the oil bottle on the right of the picture;)

What is you oil consumption like with the tune and new spark plugs etc? Or is spending so much time in the shop getting stuff done, you don't get to drive it often enough? :)

MK5 Edition 30 - 440bhp and 510lbft on 100bhp shot nitrous injection

I haven't put a single drop in yet and the dipstick is still showing the same amount of oil as when I had it dropped out at 200miles. I'm now at 2k miles on Mobil 1 0W40 fully synthetic oil. 8)

You will have to join the website (don't worry it is a normal forum), but it is my MK5 build thread.

So, Pace are making me an uprated Intercooler & Radiator and should see it after the new year.
Previous PACE intercoolers have been tested and proven to give around 5% extra recouped power through decreased charge temps over OEM set-ups. Mine will obviously have the radiator too. If the car recoups 5% power then it should increase power by around 12bhp. Weight including extra radiator coolant will increase the weight by 8kg, but I can live with that if it gives me the power it should. Also given some of the longer term problems some 1.4TSI's have had, any extra cooling is worth it's weight in gold. 8)

Should be the same as below...

Stock IC Dimensions
80mm Tube Width
96mm Stack Height
617mm Tube Length
= 4.73 litres

Pace Products IC Dimensions
90mm tube width
145 stack height
550mm tube length
= 7.17 litres
= 35% increase :star:

Stock radiator
Dimensions
28mm thick x 730 wide x 410 high = around 8.4litres

Pace Products radiator
Dimensions
50mm thick x 730 wide 410 high = around 15 litres = 78% increase

Hurdy are the radiator and IC straight bolt on or are there modifications needed? Think i might start off with this before anything else.

Unknown yet until they are test fitted to the car. If they don't fit they will be sent back to be revised. I will keep everyone updated regardless of how things go 8)

I've seen those pics before......

At locopolo

Starting with the intercooler and radiator IMO is the best plan of action now that they are released. Even at stock these engines run very very hot so ithink the benefits are there to be had from stock

Yes it was what i was thinking from reading Hurdy's and your builds development :D although mine is still stock as i havent had time to start sorting it out as i just moved into new place,i have been getting the different parts for it (ITG intake filter, Milltek TBE, NGK plugs) so when the time does come i can see everything will go in in one go.
