gutted. lady driver was looking at some roadworks and rammed me up the ar$e... hmmm. jokes aside, its a killer blow. loved that car.

my new polo (a low milage silver 9N) is on the way, will stick some photos up.

unexpectedly - i have my Polo coming back to me.. and this will be up for sale soon, heads up if anyone fancies a project?
insurance company wrote it off, but its just needing a new back hatch, inside boot panels, rear bumper, lights. easily repaired. still drives, no engine probs, etc)
its an SE Polo, X reg 2001. 1.4, full electric sun roof, VW alloys (white), had done 120k on the clock, still running fine. most of it is standard.
Anyway, PM me if anyone fancies it.

price will be around 700 quid.

yeah its odd how the insurance companies don't really care anymore... would rather send it back than bother with selling it on / scrapping it etc.

Nah, seriously though, I've got a silver tailgate and rear bumper I've had sitting about for over a year.

Did you have to buy back the car from them then? My repair bill is 1722 and near enough the same damage and they're repairing it for me no write off or anything :s least you got a nice 9n on the way

ahhh - i may have not disclosed all my points (even though they were from 5yrs ago and the insurers then voided my policy. oops. so i get the car back again. i think its been Cat' C'd though which is annoying.

insurance t0$$ers. they will look for anything to get out of a claim... it wasnt even my fault as i was rammed fro the back - but they didnt want the hassle i suppose.

Hastings Direct by the way - steer clear of them.
