Hello all.
Re: Hello all.
I was looking at Mighty Dub Fest in Northumbrland, (it's my birthday weekend!
), Volksfling and was thinking of taking a run down to Ultimate Dubs in Telford, we're really busy April/May/June, so time off is an issue. What about yourself, any planned?
Re: Hello all.
I'll be trying to go to as many as possible depending on work and funds! Definitely going to ultimate dubs in march tho and anything local but as for the shows further away I'll need time off of work.
Re: Hello all.
Yeah I'm the same, time off work is the biggest problem, as well as the current prices for petrol! I got a great magazine off ebay this week, it's the June 2000 first issue of 'Volkswagen Driver', and the lead story is a test of the 'new' Polo GTI. And the funny thing is the one complaint they have about the test cars is thet the gearboxes on both are what they call 'notchy', if only they'd know the boxx issues that were to follow lol
Re: Hello all.
I don't really do weekends but cos its in the summer I'm likely to get asked so I'm planning on booking all weekends off and maybe even Fridays and Monday's depending how far I'm travelling to get to the shows.
Fuel costs are such a b*tch atm! I can only really use mine weekends, I'm so happy to have a work van lol
Worth keeping hold of that magazine dude! Mite not be many around anymore. Just remember take it to some shows (I'd like a sneaky look)

Re: Hello all.
Yeah a works van does help with the fuel costs. I was thinking it would be pretty cool to take it to shows, leave it sitting in the car, kinda unusual. I'm just making up a list of cosmetic jobs and slight mods I'm wanting to do to the car, nothing too drastic, wanting to keep it as standard as I can.
Re: Hello all.
Well when you've worked out your to do list be sure to post it up dude
Re: Hello all.
Well I'm going to start off by getting a set of TT pedals, and a set of metal plates. Plus invest in some good quality detailing products. Desperate to get out and get her washed and waxed!
Re: Hello all.
I like the TT pedals but there so common in polos!
I've got my eye in summin different
I'd say metal pressed plates is a must! They look smart mate

Re: Hello all.
Haha yeah I was thinking that too, but tryint to find a decent looking set is the problem, was looking at some sparco ones but I do like the simple look of the TT ones but as you say they are kinda popular. Defo geting the metal plates tho, going to get them from dubmiesters i'm thinking.
Re: Hello all.
That's the metal plates ordered, got a screw in the n/s rear tyre, going to get new rubber all round so all I need to do now is get a new/replacemnt tri-lock wheel nut key, turns out my one is missing!
Re: Hello all.
Got the locking wheel nuts sorted today, half an hour with the dewalt drill, key bought off ebay and a big hammer, locking nuts actaully gave up quite easily!
