Thankyou Mandy :-) my mates promised during and after pics for me this week so I need to remind him ;-)

I'm slowly working my way through your thread but so many pages to go through on my crappy phone signal at home lol

Liking the thought of leather headlining tho let me know how it goes if you do it cos I'm undecided on doing mine in leather or suede when I start on the interior :-p

I thought i was following all the threads on here then realised i wasn't with this one for some reason!

I wanna see the spacers, looking to get some for mine. I still haven't took the parcel shelf to the trimmers but i'll get a quote for the headlining while i'm there so i'll let you know. :D

That's strange :-/ unless you posted a quick comment without clicking the follow thing lol

I have to admit I love your idea for parcel shelf and considered stealing it when I get a stealth shelf made ;-) sorry (credit will be given tho)

The spacers should be here 2moro and I'm likely to put them on with the RX2's untill my borbets are ready so I should have few piccys 2moro if all goes well :-D

No i'm sure i posted a comment ages ago on here about the rear lights but it mustn't have saved!!

Go for it with the parcel shelf lol. I stole it from my friend who had his done for his R32 and it looks great, a really nice touch! 8)

I'm certain you have posted before aswell :-/ just proves computers ain't all that lol
I know I've sent a few posts before and it's not shown when there was a new post, but then I'd seen I didn't click on notify me when a reply posted (unless that's on my local forum SWDubs)

I did see the pic of the R32 shelf and it looks mint :-)

I love the borbets! Seen them years ago and fell in love with them! Could never get hold of a set for my golf gti cos they've stopped making them.

Then 1 day browsing on clubpolo I come across some 15x7 for £185 with loads of people asking for them to be delivered but wouldn't pay for the courier so I made him an offer he couldn't refuse ;-)

So I got home today and these had turned up :-D

So I cracked on with fitting them,
here's a few pics (might not be in order)

Plenty of copper grease to prevent them sticking to the hub or wheel

And a few when I went for a blip as my drive is pretty narrow

Thanks dude! Means alot coming from you! Your gti is just amazing, I love it ;-)

The tyres I've got are 195/45s and the borbets are 7J so there's a very very slight stretch, but there exactly the same size tyres as what's on the RX2's so if they rub too much and I need stretch they'll go on the RX2's for winters and I'll go for some 175/55s or 185/50s
After fitting the spacers this evening I think I will have to go for some stretch!

I'm gonna have a play with my arches anyway when my mate gets an arch roller so soon I'll get them done :-)

I'm gonna do a trail run when I get the borbets back and see how they go but my rx2's are due some new tyres soon so after the local meet at the end of the months I'll be swapping wheels and tyres over untill the weather improved so I'll probably leave the 195/45s on the RX2's and look into getting stretched for when the borbets come out for the shows and summer months ;-)
I've had a few people say that "stretch on 7J look like an essex slag on high heels" lmao
I'm guessing they like wide wheels lol
I wouldn't go for anything major, just to sit them in the arch nicely ;-)
