Finally got it lowered...

Post by h17rry »

So after a week of waiting the lowering springs have been fitted...pic of before and after are attached below to be honest they dont do justice to the way the car looks, in the flesh it looks spot on and the rear is to settle still a little bit more..

The back will drop another 5mm or so as the springs settle. When you first install these springs the back only drops 25mm but they will drop another 5mm. I think it looks mint :)

pics dont do it justice the car looks hunkered down in the flesh/iron, still needs to settle a little, yes they are 30mm all round. The quality of ride is sooooo much better tho.

I think the gti ones would look better, do you not? I was debating getting the set, two sides, the back and a similar exhaust, cost about a grande :/

thought about the gti kit and they do look chunky on the polo, but the r line ones in my opinion suit it better as its not a gti and don't want to pretend to have a gti when its not but thats just me. Vw in ireland have the r line kit available on all new polos but vw uk doesnt...its not fair!!

I have the Audi A3/A1 (Part No 8P0071771) exhaust trim on mine mate. Fits perfect on the 65mm exhaust, Stainless Steel so doesn't rust and works out nearly 30 quid cheaper than the VW one... I just went down to the Audi Dealer near Crown Point and picked one up. Slots straight on and has clips inside so it doesn't come off :D

As for LED number plate bulbs, the OEM VW ones available leave bulb warnings on the dash, so i'm led to believe that these are the better option, a few on here have these fitted:
