Re: My GTI... Thanks Panda & NotRich!

Well people, I have a little confession in that the car has actually been immobile since I last posted about the problems it was having in September..... Hence the reason I've been driving the Alto since then and that there haven't been many new pics of the car itself posted :(

BUT.....

It has been fixed for definate today and the problem is actually all my own fault and I was sooooooo embarrased when I was told what it was........ Bearing in mind I have spent a good couple of hundred quid on new parts trying to find the problem - and nearly gave up on the car altogether!

One of the spark plugs had a bit of rubber on it (somehow) so basically wasnt touching the HT Lead, hence the mis-firing issue. Absolutely mortified that this is all that has been the issue all along!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8) Thanks to my new bestie Panda for coming to my rescue, with a little bit of help from NotRich  Both from my local North East forum. Both are on here, though Panda doesn't ever come on..... He is too cool apparantly 8)

Had a blast all over in her today and she is back to her old self and driving like a beaut. I was starting to panic considering I had to get her mobile again within the next 2 weeks ready for getting the exhaust done.

Hopefully this is the end of the stress and onwards and upwards from here and I can actually get some sleep at night lol

Ahem, you mean Panda had a look at it, didn't know what he was doing and as predicted brought it to me and then I pointed out what was wrong with it ?

Wasn't packaging, was the rubber insert of a spark plug socket... also the plugs were finger tight, lol.
