Colour coding my 9n engine bay

Post by Cle0dy »

Basically decided now that i should start work on my 9n, seeing as im unemployed and got way too much time on my hands. Money is obviously an issue however eBay has proved usefull in obtaining initial cheap as fu*k parts so far.

Right now im for getting my engine bay gutted and scrubbed up and treating rust and painting over with either black or silver, however im looking for a nice colour to paint sections in my bay and things like the brake callipers etc, mainly little subtle touches.

Im thinking of maybe a metallic Capri blue to go with the silver?

Also what would look better along with the metallic silver bodywork, a matte colour or another metallic?

Any suggestions on other colours or feedback would be smashing.

Personal taste buddy. Personally I think another metallic would set it off nicely. Sometimes matte can look a bit out of place but in subtle touches would look nice I think. Some sort of deep metallic blue like you suggested I think would look very tasteful and classy silvers such a hard colour to match up with because not everything goes well with it

brighter colours would be better to make the engine stand out, either way bro once its done you have to post some pics.

i'll definitely get some pictures up in due course of my current progress. Hopefully i'll be able to do the painting in the next few weeks at the job centers expense though ;)
