Yeah I know mate its shocking :(
The standard tyre size is 205/45/17's but its recommended to use slightly wider tyres so i'm looking for 215/40/R17's

I'm going for a full set but the best priced tyres seem to be the Yokohoma Prade Spec 2's which are £83 each from Camskill

Yeah its not too bad but Camskill do offer some great prices, they are £92+ from most websites

So expensive to buy tyres these days, if your going for a full set then you want to make sure you make the right choice

I mite have to check camskills out for prices then,

I did suspect I would need a bit of stretch for the borbets and now the wheels are going back due to paint flaking off I'll put the rainsports on the RX2's so they should be fine as winters.
I'm kind of glad I got the same size cos I'll have nice fresh tyres for next winter now :-) just gonna get the wheels refurbed and maybe do the centres same colour as the borbets with a polished lip ;-)

Tell me about it mate! I had to raise it cos was rubbing badly, so nxt week tyres are coming off so the wheel can get redone and there going on RX2's and I'm on the hunt for some 165/50 Potenzas to stretch ready for the summer to give me the more lows ;-)

Good to meet you too bud and yeh you'll see me at the nxt few meets and you best be in the mk1 :-)
