Re: TROTTA'S progress thread *.!BOOT REPAIR BEGINS!.*

Well I have sealed the filler work off with epoxy so that will hold back the sinking and ringing on most repairs as big as this, so primer next and silver time lol.

Red is the heat lamp btw....

You can see the edge of the repair in the pictures and most primers will ring up, so this stage is a must and not all body shops do this so if you have repair work done, see if you can have this stage done.

Can't wait to paint it up, got Monday and Tuesday off work so I'm going into work to do my own stuff....

Well iv done my lamin-x foglight mod and I do like the outcome, beefs up the front I feel.

And I collected my jap front rub strip which is NOT FULLY SMOOTHED as the guy said it was lol.
VW don't do a smooth one but these are cheaper and smaller area to smooth so it makes sense to do it, more bloody work ha.

Pics.

Camp tape looks awesome now you've done more of your pipes ;-) loving the candy red wheels too mate! Black VW inserts will finish them off nicely :-) bump strip will be nice when on too, I thought about doing that rather than smoothing the whole bumper but still undecided lol

Nice one mate, i'm looking at tyres for the Type R at the moment but cant decide what to go for
The Potenza's are a quality choice and came on the car standard but they are £100+ each

AP's will be awesome :) expensive bit of kit but they will be worth it
Set it too the stiffest setting and throw it into a few corners :) you will love it!
