Bluemotion space saver

Post by Atlantis »

I've just picked up a Bluemotion today with the tyre repair kit and wondered whether it's possible to get a space saver spare wheel instead? The dealer said no, but not sure why a spacer saver from a non-Bluemotion Polo wouldn't fit? I do about 30k miles a year and not having a proper spare worries me slightly.

Also, the instantaneous digital speed reading in the midline display is showing in km/h but all other measurements use miles (range, mpg etc). I assume the speed can be set to mph instead, but is this something that the dealer has to code?

Many thanks in advance!

With the blue motion it's about fuel economy so hence the lack of a space saver. And km/h is because it's set for Europe and as some country's have mph and some kmh need to display both. It can be changed to mph thought VCDS by setting it Australia IIRC, there is something one here about it.

Do any 6R's have a space saver? As far as I'm aware they all have a full size spare!
