MK5 GTI seats are beautiful... Would the 9n3 GTI seats fit? They're kind of similar right? May be easier fitted assuming they're a little smaller maybe?

Right! the Gti is now back on the road after 3 months of sleeping...

First to report is the cause of the dreadful knocking-over-large-bumps i'd been experiencing...

Yup, the ARB was knocking against the chassis all along. I only picked up on it because i could see evidence of metal to metal contact on the arb whilst i was adjusting the coilover height. This has only taken me a year to figure out  reason i didn't think it was this at first was due to my old gtis being lower than this one, however they had much harder coilovers so the suspension didn't travel as much hence no arb to body contact ;).

Gave it a good wash and dodo wax today, (in between rain showers...)

Current stance ( raised slightly )

Rainshowers looming...

I've always wanted to do something with the windscreen/wiper trim, as the dull , aged grey always bothered me...

So:

carbon vinled it gloss black, was only my second attempt at vinling and was pretty pleased with the result..

Cheers man, yep they really do! Highly rate Dodo Purple Haze wax for dark cars.

I considered spraying it, but had some vinyl lying around so thought i'd go for that instead, wasen't too difficult as long as you you cut it out correctly.

Thanks mate, the windscreen wipers didn't need to be removed in order to get the trim off, they just needed lifting up.
