I'd disagree there, I've never actually seen it done (fully smoothed but then badge moved down). But I've seen half a dozen or so fully smoothed boots.

It was always something I'd loved to have done to my polo back in the day but could never justify the price!

I think smoothed bumpers look good regardless of the colour, if anything they are more prominent on a silver GTI in comparision to red or black.
I just think now you have got the smoothed bootlid the car does look slighly unbalanced because a lot of people with smoothed bootlids tend to smooth everything on their car including the bumpers and doors etc, at the moment it looks unfinished rather than complete

Not knocking it though mate its probably the best GTI in the UK but I guess every car is open to opinions, I love what you have done with it :)

Yeah well like said before, I prefer it non badged and my oem bumpers as they are. Looks to over smoothed in my opinion.... Vast difference from what I had so I'm loving ATM...... Can always pop one on to please other ppl but it's my car so no badge lol!

Need to make a plate that fills the tow hook cover as I don't like the big gap there... That's the sort off thing I like doing, little things ppl forget to do...... Oem+ look.!

I'm not a fan of smoothed bumpers what so ever. But thank god we all think so differently otherwise every car on here would look exactly the same aye ;)
The boot looks so much better without the handle tbf. Though I'm in love with the new VW boots with the badge being the handle. *One day. One day*

I used to think it was alright then I quickly realised it wasn't.
The boys on there are b***h to each other then 13 year old school girls!!
The last time I ever went on there someone had asked how to take the splitter off their car. The replies he got were 'go out and do it yourself'. In my eyes a forum should be friendly and helpful. And that just proved to me that CP isnt

Well the UD prep began early at 10:00 this morning doing my header tank and my blanking plate all put in was an ok jib to do really. Bit fiddly but ok now and lifts the bay I think.

As you can see I had to mod the bracket to clear my induction kit ages ago.... Bit all covered up now.

Then I got on with the body, washed, clayed, washed again, detailed with brushes, washed again all hosed off, full mop polish and then sealed with tech2 meguirs wax, hoovered, washed the leather. Then I had a bath lol.

Just tucked up at the holiday in ATM lol..... Cars is ready for showing tomorrow but I think my gearbox is playing up. Pulling away in first is like catching or summin. Could be inner cv or even outer on the box side. Bad times.... But good times on the UD clean up ha.
