Aaarghhh man that’s nasty :(

Gutted for you mate, these things happen though unfortunately I know it’s no consolation but least it’s nothing too serious.
Looks pretty scuffed so it could possibly need replacing or repairing if possible

You will feel better in a couple of hours, I know what it’s like though when you really frustrated with yourself

Chin up fella

Thanks man!

I'm just annoyed cos it's such a silly mistake as I knew the kerb was there! I knew what it was soon as I heard it :-(

I'm already on the case to get it repaired I'm getting it looked at 2moro but depending on the price I might go get a few quotes.

I've give up my idea of cleaning the car 2day it'll just make me feel worse lol I'm just gonna fit my new fog bulbs and then go have a session on cod to chill out lol

I mean what a time to do it tho! Just before UD! I know it's only gonna be in the carpark but I'm certain I'm not the only person to like wondering round the carparks at shows lol

Yeh at least it's just the sill and not the door :-)

Yeah I would imagine you could purchase a replacement from Volkswagen

Failing that you could always get one from a scrap yard, there are always CAT C GTI's for sale on eBay so getting hold of replacment shouldnt be too difficult.
Hopefully you can just get yours repaired though Luke

My GTI had a slight dent on the sill where the previous owner must have hit something, it wasn't very bad but it was one of those things that annoyed me everytime I saw it.

Yeh hopefully he can do something with it and get the textured bit to match if not I'll get searching the scrappies :-)

On another note I'm definitely giving up for the day as say say bad things happen in 3s!

I've just cracked a lense on my hella rear lights! :-(

First lens popped off fine...
Image

Second lense was coming off just as easy then all of a sudden it chipped on the corner :-(
Image

All I wanted to do was bloody re-seal them to stop water getting in :-(

Now on the hunt for another cheap set if cant find none I'm going back to all reds and keeping it clean

Gutted mate :( sounds like it’s just one of those days for you when everything goes wrong

Probably wise to give up for today to avoid "3 in a row" scenario

I think the Red lenses look quality anyway though mate, red & silver works so well together

I thought was gonna be a good day... went to work and got sent home at 9:30 so was on a winner lol

I blamed the missis for the door sill as i was going to meet her lol

then the lights happened

I'm online searching for cheap Hellas but cant find nothin cheap enough, I've had an idea although it will involve buyin 2 sets of Hellas (1 set UK legal the other set Euro) to get rid of any red in the fog light but due to the crack thats why I need to buy 2 sets.... so I officially give up on the lights lol

got more important things to sort out now so gonna clean up my reds 2moro which I tinted black and also gonna clean up mt side repeaters.

I might even go back to the chrome VW badges too

clean it up a bit

Sorry to hear about the sill :(
If its an consultation. I was sat in a car park once and watch a lady in a yellow KA drive straight forward over the little concrete barrier that devided the parking rows. She was trying to take a short cut, Front wheels went over and SMACK. Both sills wacked the barrier as she came down. The look of shock on her face was amazing.

Anyway. I hope you get it fixed soon!

That must have looked hilarious as a spectator though :)
Always not nice to see people damage their cars but surely that could have made "Youve been framed" lol

It was brilliant! She thought she was being smart by cutting straight over the car park, to the front, rather then doing what everyone else was doing and queuing to get out. She soon learnt why no one else was doing the same ;)
I so wish I had if videoed it! I wish I could have checked out the damage as I'm sure there would have been more then just the sills.

Not the best week of polo ownership huh..?!

We've all been there though dude, at one point I was genuinely considering breaking mine for parts. So glad I didn't in the end.

Man truly gutted! I'm kicking myself over it cos it was such a silly mistake! Never done that in any of my cars so why now?? Lol

To break would be a way to get top dollar but it'd break my heart to do it lol

I've considered buying 1 to keep as spares as sell off what I don't want/need... Make 1 minter outta 2 lol
